Just finished watching "Jason Bourne" (2016), the last and arguably worst movie in the series. It didn't age well. In 2016 apparently people still thought of "CIA intends to use a social media platform with 1.5 billion users for mass surveillance" as an evil movie plot 🤔
The technological illiteracy in this movie is painful to watch.🤯 "Use SQL to hack their database!" Which Nicky Parsons does in front of an #Atari ST and monochrome CRT with an unplugged ethernet cable to access the CIA mainframe computer.
"There's a phone in the room, I can take control of it and delete the files." That's.. not how it works. Also, what kind of highly trained agent would plug some random USB stick with all Blackops secrets into some strangers laptop connected to the internet?
Other than that, it's the same formula, car chases, flashbacks, The Asset, Bourne repeatedly knocking out Team Alpha and Bravo to uncover the past and a somewhat open ending without a satisfying conclusion to the series. 2/5 🍿
