You have no idea how many of my learners living in Qc are struggling to practice/use their French. And they want to do it so much!
So, I always tell them to continue in French, even if the other person speaks English, because they will quickly realize that their French is intelligible or not depending on how the interaction is going. But, they don’t want to be a burden for their interlocutor and they think that their French is bad. 😭
