# Liquid Hack Update — Message from Pablo Greco

Did some message cleanup, and here's the summary:

1. **The day of the hack was the second worst day of my life** (after the
day my Mom died), which should put things in perspective.

2. **Anyone who truly thinks that Adam (or anyone at Blockstream) has
anything to do with the hack** shows one of the 3 letters of what I
call the **"SIM"**:

- **S**tupid — doesn't have the ability to understand
- **I**gnorant — has the ability, but lacks information
- **M**alicious — has the ability and the information, but chooses to
ignore it

3. **There are a lot of people (inside and outside of Blockstream)** working
not only on restoring the peg, but also on improving the security of
Liquid for everybody.

We're all hoping to have news about the timeline soon, but as I said
before, **the peg will be returned — and that's not even a question.**
And just to reiterate: it has **nothing to do** with the hacker returning
the funds.

So please, if someone wants to start name calling again, I kindly suggest
to **STFU** or you will be banned.
