Then to filter and back to pool/pond or empty. 1½" plumbing. The filter has a handle on top to direct water to backwash, filter, empty, circulate without filter, etc. It has 80lbs of sand in it but I'm dumping that. The new one I'm filling with fiber balls instead, much lighter.
