Does look very wisteria like, esp since I've seen some in flower now

Surprisingly, my aunt reacted in horror to the mention of them - apparently they may be as hard to get rid of as they grape vines / creepers that we spent YEARS trying to get rid of (i.e. vast underground root networks, fast growth, destructive + persistent suckers)
