I did independent study philosophy with him for a few years - a group of use all thru high school read philosophy books and met to discuss them. In theory for credit (could have been for college credit actually) but mostly because it was fun and intellectually challenging.

He also demonstrated the amazing feat of teaching philosophy without discussing his own views - instead he made a point of presenting the strongest case for all positions on a given philosophical question
