Wow, the #Lisp Discord is utterly insufferable. (Yes yes, serves me right for using Discord.)
* Someone I've never seen before recognizes me from profile pic and name, because I guess I'm on their personal shit-list, presumably because they spend time in extremist echo chambers that conduct witch-hunts.
* They link a blog post I wrote two years ago explaining GC #feminism to "expose" me. A handful of people start hating on me for it.
* I argue back lightly, then say I have better things to do and dip out.
* Someone pings the mods. Mod says I have to capitulate to their political ideology.
* I say I understand they don't like feminism but I'm not there to argue that; I'd like to discuss Lisp and programming language design and implementation if that's OK.
* They ban me.
It's 2026 and we have to deal with anti-feminist witch hunts. You may think the place is full of right-wing chuds but no, apparently every single moderator there is #trans (pretty sure all male persons) which is why they don't tolerate GC #feminist views. Indistinguishable from angry incels.
