And yeah, if I'm being forced to download that file onto my work laptop I'm going to be working on it in LibreOffice instead. I couldn't open it in MS Office even if I wanted to, because said laptop runs Linux.
Office 365 was an opportunity to make the Office suite OS-agnostic but they screwed that up by leaving it half implemented, making the desktop version (or LibreOffice) essential for a bunch of routine tasks.
