spending the public holiday by trying 20+ git GUI tools, only to discover that only three of them fit my (one, single) requirement

(the requirement is that when you look at a diff, you’re able to expand it to show more context. bonus points for being able to expand bits instead of toggling "show full file" and "show only changes". because I think this is the one thing that keeps me coming back to the GitHub browser diff, which, ugh)
