Valve is steadily releasing updates to #gamescope, making the DIY #SteamMachine more and more viable. In fact, I’d say they’re almost on par right now: there are some benefits to going with an official machine/distro, and there are some benefits to building one yourself/choosing a distro you like better.
The latest thing they fixed was my biggest complaint: how the gamepad would change back to the default preset for no reason. Now, the only issue is the glitchy UI – a minor annoyance at best.
