I love merino wool when i'm traveling, because it's light, breathing and odor resistant, but it sure as heck isn't durable. Every piece i've had has developed substantial holes after about two weeks of wearing time.

And i've been handwashing and been buying more expensive stuff over the years, but it's always the same.
