My experience is being the child of the parents that yanked their child away and being ignorant of it for a very long time.

Craziest part is that my mother's father was nothing like that. Thankfully, I learned from him and not them.

My Dad now has dementia and the hate flows out of him.

He always had an unkind word for Jewish people when I was growing up and after I left home.

I regret not pushing back on those things at those times.
