I have a loved one who:
- has an Mk4
- generated their seed (w/o dice) in the last year
- has not spent from the wallet
- is tech savvy, but no so much in terms of bitcoin
my course of action at this point is to guide them to do the following:
- update their Mk4 firmware
- generate a new hot-wallet on Sparrow desktop
- send the bitcoin to Sparrow wallet
- wipe their Mk4 device
- generate a new seed, preferably using 100 independent dice rolls
- send their bitcoin from Sparrow back to their “new” Mk4
this IMO is the lowest barrier to entry for loved ones that are/may be affected
