Try breaking out of google auth once you're in, and put your codes somewhere else... you can't! To me that sounds like an agenda for every dev to actually have smartphone when they are security nightmares!
I fail to see the actual value gained from using MFA.

Passwords stolen? They can't login, but how did you lose these passwords in the first place? You probably have poor opsec lol.
One 12 char password is really enough for security. I DONT want to have to use an MFA device every time I connect to something ffs.
