Good post on the new ty and Pyrefly type checkers.
Interesting to looking into ty in particular…
> Ty takes a gradual approach to typing - given a program that (theoretically) runs flawlessly, running a type checker should not raise any new typing errors - and if it does, it probably indicates an actual flaw somewhere in the code.
It sounds like it might give us a decent (read realistic) route to incrementally adding annotations to Django. Need to play.
