Any opinion can look "honest opinion" and still being FUD. I don't think the maintainer opinion is FUD but all the noise some trolls are spreading on social media indeed is.
No, opinions i don't like don't need to be "discarded", i never wrote that. I just say i can give also my opinion. Often people believe something if enough people (or bots) are making enough noise about it. That can be easily combated just by somebody blowing away the smoke.
I have news for you, you are probably already using software at least partially written by LLMs and probably you didn't even noticed it. Probably you still think is "great software". Some software projects are simply adapting to reality and that reality is that some code written by LLMs can't be distinguished from code written by people, so it would be stupid to still pretending nobody uses those tools.
