The status linked in the opening post is from a package maintenaner who decided to step down because they don't like the new submission process involving LLMs — looks like their honest opinion, what is there to read differently? Is it wrong to share this opinion? It's obvious that the topic is very polarising, do you think that opinions you don't like should be just discarded in order to defeat what you consider a FUD campaign?
If you think these tools are actually good and relying on them does not pose any problems — go ahead, make great software with them. Let people see the results themselves, and maybe they reconsider, this actually works! Attacking people who have a different opinion with "No! You don't understand, these tools are actually good! Besides there's no going back now" does not work — it won't help you make people change their minds.
