"content": "I did really enjoy the desert but I felt a strong urge to get back into the mountains. I thought about hiking Black Butte from the lower trailhead but didn’t want my first time to be in the clouds. Decided to hike Marion Mountain and Marion Lake. It started snowing about 30 minutes into my hike this morning. By the time I made it to the summit, the mountain was completely white. It was so serene to be alone in the forest when it’s snowing.
