The Medieval mason who did this definitely had quite a sense of humor 😆

A quirky stone sculpture, often interpreted as a form of medieval humor, located at the Abbey Church of Sainte-Foy in Conques, France 🇫🇷

The sculpture is a small, carved figure appearing to be "stuck" or "peeking" out from between the architectural elements of the church's exterior. It is a well-known example of a grotesque or a marginal carving, showcasing the playful side of medieval artisans.
