True story: the thing that got me off Android last time wasn’t just the relentless contempt for choice or agency; it was the fact that it rebooted into a developer mode I’d never seen before while I was in the middle of a phone call with a journalist.
It wasn’t the “The door prize for hanging out with Glen Greenwald for a few days is an Android update nobody else gets” experience some old colleagues had back in the day, but still, I don’t recommend it.
