NEW: Binance's SAFU insurance fund now holds more than $1.27B in Bitcoin, including about $270M of unrealized profit.
The exchange converted roughly $1B of stablecoins into 15K BTC in mid-February, finishing Feb. 12 with a 4,545 BTC purchase when bitcoin was near $67K.
