They're NOT wrong most of the time. I don't know where you're getting that. If you're conflating weather apps with NWS forecasters, that's a mistake. Weather apps are hot garbage. They're based off one model, not a consensus of the 15 or so models available, there's no input from forecasters who would be able to spot errors in that one particular model and make corrections.
