#WritersCoffeeClub 2026-01-21: When writing about unpleasant feelings, how do you avoid alienating the reader entirely?
I write as I write. I write first for myself, my partner second. A broader audience will drift in as the winds of whims guide them. I don't premeditate how to manipulate, or coddle for that matter, other readers. I genuinely do my best to capture the characters' stories with vividness and emotions, because that is what I wanted to read growing up.
