Turns out my dog's bloody stools since February is some kind of weird bacteria I never heard of, and treating him for IBD. He was on all kinds of modern antibiotics, not Fluoroquinolones, Cypro, metronidazole, w/prednisone that didn't work. I spent a fortune on dog foods, medicines, tests, powders, chewables. Yesterday I thought why not go back to penicillins. The doctor called this morning and said Augmentin kills this bacteria. Old school, simple, cheap. I'm hopeful. My boy has suffered.
