The newly erected 50km speed limit signs that have been installed to replace the original 30km signs on our quiet street have unsurprisingly been whited out by unhappy residents.
This street has speed bumps every 20-30 metres and is also home to a very busy primary school and a very popular family playground that’s always full of children.
You would have to be crazy to drive on these roads at 50kmh. I would expect anyone who does attempt to travel at this speed should send their resulting bill for repairing/replacing the subsequent damaged suspension to former minister of transport Simeon Brown or the current minister of racial abuse targeting NZ musicians and now land transport, Chris Bishop.
It was #NZPol minister Simeon Brown who changed the law to increase speed limits on urban streets.
