Title: Samsung pauses One UI 7 rollout worldwide
Samsung has paused the rollout of its One UI 7 update globally after users in South Korea reported a critical bug that prevented some Galaxy S24 devices from unlocking. The update, which began on April 7, 2025, was intended to bring Android 15 and various AI enhancements to devices including the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. Following the bug reports, Samsung decided to halt the update for all models worldwide, prioritizing user safety. Although some users may have already downloaded the update, Samsung has not yet confirmed the pause or provided information on a fix for those affected. The update was initially delayed for several months, arriving seven months after Android 15 was made available to developers. The situation has led to confusion as older firmware versions have reappeared on Samsung's servers instead of the new update. As of now, there is no official communication from Samsung regarding the next steps or potential timelines for resuming the rollout.
