As I’ve said before, I like to stay out of the drama that’s just not who I am. But lately, I’ve been feeling extremely frustrated and sometimes stressed as I’ve been dealing with a lot of devastating events this past month the New Orleans incident, the wildfires, the DC plane crash that killed 67 people, and now this, which hits especially close to home for me.
Sometimes, when I come across posts that seem like misinformation or misleading content, I get annoyed and frustrated, feeling the urge to call out the account. My intentions come from wanting to keep things accurate, but I also realize it’s not my place to police people’s posts that’s what Community Notes is for. The last thing I want to do is create unnecessary conflict or negativity. People should be free to decide who they follow and what content they engage with.
So, I just want to apologize, https://nitter.poast.org/MattWallace888 and https://nitter.poast.org/JackWallace888, for reacting that way. That’s not who I am, and at the end of the day, it’s their choice to post what they want, and if people enjoy it, then good for them.
Moving forward, I’ll do my best to handle these situations with more patience and perspective
