submission or surrender is often associated with and even craved as a release of control, or at least a break from it.
yet ironically, learning to be a (good) sub has required me to become more self-controlled, not less. so surrender is not a respite from control itself, but a relinquishing of the externals (what can't control) to focus on what i can control~ myself.
and this control serves a beautiful purpose: devotion to Her.
