The old adage is that you don't 💩 where you eat. This is all fine and dandy if you're housed.
I usually use my toilet outside of the tent but I had to bring it inside overnight as I was on/off it for hours.
The Kmart loo has a small hole in the lid at the front. I sealed this shut with electrical tape ages ago (to prevent insects breeding in it!). I also rapidly sit on it once opened and rapidly close it.
Glen 20 (or equivalent) is liberally sprayed everywhere and the tent is well ventilated and aired.
I removed all traces of food and all food/drink preparation equipment was either removed or securely stored.
