Herrad is not bad at scanning for additional exits apart from the one she just came in through (in case she needs to make a hasty retreat or, alternatively, keep someone from running *from* her). Other than that, all depends on the sort of crowd this is (the local church on a holiday is different from the "Fat Eel" on a busy evening and on the brink of a tavern brawl breaking out).
