Went to the optician today and was FULLY mute throughout. A funny thing about interactions in those circumstances is people are a lot more supportive.
"You're doing SO well!" is something nobody ever says when I'm masking better.
Anyway I've come to the conclusion that we should be more encouraging to literally everyone for getting through basic stuff. It's not condescending, I think we could all use the motivational bump.
