Fucked up my shoulder yesterday trying to get a fucking oil filter off. Neighbor wanted to do an oil change himself for the first time on a 20yo Honda Pilot instead of going to those oil change places.
They literally welded the fucking filter and plug on. My strap wrench collapsed the filter, so I brought in my Mongo Channel locks to rape that filter off. Used a lot of cuss words my neighbor never heard before. Had to hammer the fucking plug off. I told him to never go to those places again and showed him the fucking cheap filters they use. The oil was almost turning into sludge at this point and it was still warm. Plus he was 2qts low out of 5.
I told him to buy a Fumoto drain valve on his next oil change and showed him how to properly lube/tighten an oil filter. And to read his dip stick.
He's 37 yo. Fuck me
