I think the biggest issue is the fact that the backup is much more difficult to do, you need either the full database or the emergency recovery file.

On top of that if you are offline you can actually be subject of a malicious peer if you don't have watchtowers.

Too many ways to lose funds while on chain is impossible to lose if you have your words, lightning needs the words and much more. A force close isn't that big of a issue unless there were very high fees on chain
