Oh this is good to hear. My current setup in my head is under my deck, with the house's foundation on 2.5 of the sides (2 full sides and like 5 ft on a the third side) with the remaining areas already fenced with a lattice (needs thinner sized fencing for predators) and door. I wouldnt be able to put a drop cloth but its already quite wind protected and I have power there so I could run an overhead heater if needed?
Right now the flooring is a pretty thick pad of gravel (seems like adding thick layer kf wood chip over that could work?)
Id probably build a wooden roost or whatever to stick in the corner .
