Since Nov 2025, #Bitkey uses chain code delegation so that Block no longer has the ability to see balances and monitor/censor transactions.

Chain code delegation "enables participants like collaborative custodians to co‑sign when needed, while avoiding the broad visibility that comes with holding an xpub" via #BIP89.

This makes Bitkey, which is largely open source (MIT), worth a deeper look.

The new Bitkey with a display/touchscreen for verifying transactions is in pre-order now and should ship soon.
