@abcnews asked about the difference in tactics between Iran/Russia observed by Microsoft. My comment elaborated on different goals. If you can't sway a whole election or this wouldn't achieve high end goals (such as shifting US support from Israel) it seems likely the aim is to influence or smear who might be close to a future administration, on both sides.
