The whole "colleges spread communism" thing is such bullshit. First off, the people saying it can never define what the fuck communism is, it's just a word that scares them. Second, my entire course load across at least half a dozen subjects was very apolitical. History was the closest thing to political, and only in the sense that it didn't shy away from the embarrassing details republicans want to bury to bolster nationalistic pride.
If conservative ideology can't withstand the education I received, it's only because it doesn't stand up to informed scrutiny. But instead of taking that as a sign to look inward on their beliefs, conservatives claim it's a grand conspiracy. "Conservatives aren't peddling and/or consuming propaganda, the PROFESSORS are forcing it on our CHILDREN!" Bunch of suckers.
