Nielso (npub1909…pzh6) [@Davi_Dblees](https://mastodon.world/@Davi_Dblees ) Ladder Logic 🇨🇦 (npub1g28…em0w) Well, my reason for trying was to be ahead of the day when, for whatever reason, my decades-old MacOS conks out on me in some deal-breaking way, so I won't have to choose between begrudgingly updating to a current Mac & OS, or giving up my entire digital music environment & starting over from scratch. But I get the point.
So far I'm OK, though 😁
This is Good Tech™️ in my book: Haven't opened Reaper in oh gosh, nearly a year (while focusing on trying to actually learn to play all those guitars I keep buying) I wake up my 2015 MBP - that's right, I didn't even shut it down - download the latest version & it just... runs. Perfectly.
Almost 40 tracks, dozens of plugins, 11 year old computer, sitting there literally gathering dust until I need it.
We can & should still expect tech to work.
