I'd join a communist or socialist party if I could. But it seems as if there are a million splintered ones, and each one is full of people who are either fighting each other or swearing to the heavens that every other party is corrupt and sold out.

I wish there was a party that didn't get into these insane internecine squabbles over points of doctrine which make my eyes glaze over. Isn't there some sort of basic set of principles that virtually all communists and socialists can agree on? Could we start from there and just advance an agenda?

The fascists are killing off the planet. I don't care how many commissars can dance on the head of a pin. I just want to help save humanity. Is that too much to ask?
