Just ordered a new refrigerator, delivery Wednesday. And now I feel sad - not at having to buy a new one, the current one that's clearly dying was 15 years old when I bought this house 20 years ago. Sad because I know I'll never again buy an appliance that lasts 25 or 30 or 35 years. Even entire HVAC systems now are only projected for 15-20 years max. Appliances like washers and dryers and refrigerators and stoves only get projected for 10-12 years now, even from high quality respected manufacturers.
And get off my lawn! :)
And am already feeling anxious anticipating having delivery come and looking at it and having to say 'there were special delivery instructions that the doors need to be reversed, you're not bringing it in here without the doors set as specified'. Because there's ALWAYS something fucked up with the delivery.
