A lot of companies don't even bother putting out job ads outside linkedin.
They ONLY use recruiters that fish on linkedin, and post the job ad on linkedin.
The company I got a job at now, however, is a state owned company (a bit of an odd setup, it is structured like a regular company but is 100% owned by the state).
By law, they have to advertice publically.
It is kinda bizarre to be in a place where "we need to make more money!" is not part of the daily mantra. But great too.
