We woke up to no power this morning. The outage goes from Warrington through Waitati, over Mount Cargill to Long Beach and Aramoana.
Has somebody been stealing copper cable, perhaps?
So I fetched water from a standpipe, fired up a little gas burner and made a filter coffee. Because in times of no electricity, it's important to take care of the essentials.
The cause of the outage is "being investigated" and ETA for repairs is 11:30am. My UPS has 4 hours remaining.
