So... We handled movies with ratings. And sexual education with ratings and teaching it during certain years. Food with an oversight committee in factories and nutrition labels. And friends are definitely handled by parents right now.
None of this was done by adding government surveillance to our classrooms or homes.
But now you're like "parents are bad at raising kids so the government should do it instead." Should we just start government daycares, force kids into them, and let our politicians care for them instead, since parents can't do it?
Like, yeah, raising kids is hard. It's what you're signing up for when you have them. That's life.
