I liken Ai to the invention of the mouse.
It's just a better way to interface with a computer, which makes it accessible to more people.
Being able to simply ask for a computation is the real benefit, but it's not intelligence.
It feels like the time we went from a terminal to a clicky mouse visual and evvereyone's gran'ma'ma was sitting behind a beige win95 box.
