A relative flew MEL to LAX to Arizona to visit my cousin who lives there. The cheapest ticket (which he bought) was via that Singapore to Los Angeles non-stop operated by Singapore Air. It's almost 18 hours LAX->SIN coming home.
They should have handed him the "Iron Bum" award when he finally got back to Melbourne.
