My biggest problem with the singular they is that it's ambiguous. You can't get around that ambiguity. When I say "They went to the store," you can't tell if I'm talking about one person or many.
The same argument could be used in criticism of the word "you."
Therefore thou shalt cease in the use of the singular "you" as it ambiguous beith whither thine sentance refers to one or many peoplese. 😗
