Here in the Boston area, I have finally found a hill I can train on, in Arlington MA just a half hour ride from home.

At the base of the hill is this beautiful Orthodox church with a stunning mosaic depicting Saint Athanasius.

It's been years since I read his notes on the incarnation, so I looked up his story and had no idea how involved he was in the politics of his time- the cause of his first exile (of many) was an accusation by the followers of his theological opponent Arius who claimed that Athanasius had restricted African trade to the Roman Empire.
