yeah, there are twisted aspects of IP laws, but imo it's not all bad. It certainly fosters innovation by "small" players. However, a lot of it can be broken up to benefit Canadian consumers and businesses today. The much referenced article by Cory Doctorow (npub1fdr…lvhs) highlights a few. I think it's wrong to piss on Tesla owners or workers. Better to tweak consumer & IP laws to unshakle Canada from conditions, commissions and subscriptions, that just feed US corps.
