(Legal backstory: county GOP leadership has filed a complaint that Irene broke a technicality, & thus needs to be fired.
Irene did not, in fact, do any of that.
The only reason this has worked so far is the NC state board of elections is GOP-dominated. So partisan attacks get a pass there.
So she's bringing the legal battle to court. That will force the local GOP to bring their case into the open & that the accusations are bogus.)
