Sorry for all the puns but seriously, this is a lot more Drama than we usually get out in the poop world.
Usually it's just "blah blah blah wash your hands" "don't drink poop water"
This is a level of foulup I don't think any wealthy country has ever seen to date. We're making poop history here.

It's been a HUGE week in diarrhea news!
Between an FDA false positive, the Taylor Farms lawyer lyin' about the false positive, & CDC is slow because DOGE fired too many of the poop nerds who worked there?
It's been one of the juiciest weeks in diarrhea history. Time for a deep dive 🏊 So I'm doing a livestream at 5pm US eastern time today (Friday), on "What HAPPENED this week!?"

To be clear this is a livestream of SCIENCE, FACTS, & UPDATES about the Cyclospora outbreak.
We are not livestreaming a bout of diarrhea!
At least, that's not the plan!

Anybody know a public health science person who'd want to do a livestream about Cyclospora, screwworm, or other headline news?
Get in the replies & let me know!

It's kind of a funny selection bias, I guess.
The only folks who are going to call me to learn more about "saving farmers" are those whose brains are completely made of pudding.
Which... yeah, explains how those phone calls go.

Like... I KNOW they're reaching out because they saw my stuff on YouTube.
Did they not listen to a fucking word I said?
This happens at least once a month!

Every so often the head of a do-gooder nonprofit or journalist reaches out, wanting to hear my thoughts on [farm topic]
And they're always floored & taken aback that I say "mean" things about farmers. Like "They're adults. They chose this. And they should live with the consequences of their actions."
